Streets of Willow
4.4.08
This was my first track day. I
had been riding for about six
months on the streets and in the
canyons. After realizing how
much I was pushing it on the
street I knew I had to take it
to the track. The first session
felt like a really slow group
ride where nearly everyone had a
screwy line and seemed generally
uncomfortable. By the end of the
second session the speed started
to pick up and I started
enjoying myself. With a handful
of my friends from OCmoto there,
many of them in my run group,
recognizing the rider ahead of
you was likely and made it that
much more fun. Highlights were
pretty thoroughly using my knee
pucks and getting to talk with
the TrackDaz organizers about
riding fast. It is safe to say
this will become a regular thing
for me.
